Computation, done by light and matter.

A physical architecture for computing and information security.

Light meets matter · the pattern is the resultDouble slit, simulated
Why

Energy

Data centers will soon need far more energy than today. New ones already wait for the grid, not for capital.

Security

Today’s cryptography has an end date. The move to quantum-safe protection is already required.

Principle
  1. 01

    Encode

Information is written into the phase of light.

  2. 02

    Interact

Engineered materials shift and couple the phases.

  3. 03

    Read out

The settled state returns as ordinary digital data.

Targets
  • Energy20–30× less energy for the same work.
  • DensityAbout 500 million elements per square millimeter.
  • Rhythm2 to 130 billion cycles per second.
  • TemperatureRoom temperature, standard servers.

Design estimates, to be confirmed on the prototype.

Directions
In development

Photonic computing modules

Accelerators for AI and high-performance computing.

In development

Key generation modules

Unclonable keys from vacuum fluctuations, a million fingerprints per second.

Path
  • Stage oneCore effects confirmed. The main risk is tested before major spending.
  • Stage twoFirst product: key generation module.
  • Stage threeChip prototype.
  • Stage fourCompute module for data centers.
Technology

The state is the computation.

In most optical systems light only carries data. In ours, light and matter do the work.

Sequence
  1. 01

    Encode

Digital data from the server is written into the phase of laser light.

  2. 02

    Filter and multiply

Thin engineered films cut the noise. Arranged in cascade, the same films multiply matrices.

  3. 03

    Divide and synchronize

Entangled light splits in two: one phase delivers the task in parts, the other sets the rhythm. Both stay in step.

  4. 04

    Settle

Coupled elements follow that rhythm into one stable state. The state is the answer.

  5. 05

    Read out

Light reads the state; the result returns to the server as digital data.

State
DisorderCoupled oscillators, simulated

Coupled elements influence one another and settle from disorder into one stable state. When the coupling encodes a problem, that state is the answer.

Errors

We filter errors. We do not correct them.

Noise in, coherence outFiltering, simulated

Traditional quantum computers rely on fragile single qubits, cooled close to absolute zero, and spend most of their resources on error correction.

We use mass entanglement of photons through re-emission. The optical phase carries the task into the phase processor; the microwave phase becomes phonons that set the rhythm. Photons that did not pass re-emission are filtered out before the computation begins.

In practice
  • Form factorA standard accelerator board in an ordinary server.
  • ElectronicsOnly at input and output. More speed does not mean proportionally more power.
  • TemperatureRoom temperature. No cryogenics.
  • StructureAbout 15 thin layers per compute block, 256 blocks per chip, 9 chips per module.
Terms
  • PhaseThe position of a wave within its cycle.
  • CoherenceA stable phase relationship that lets waves interfere predictably.
  • InterferenceWaves reinforce where phases agree and cancel where they oppose.
  • Physical stateThe configuration a system settles into. Here, the result.
Disclosure

Figures are illustrations of established physics, not device data. Architecture and material parameters are shared on direct enquiry.

Products

Two directions, one platform.

Both are in development. We describe what they are designed to do.

  • WorkloadsAI inference and training, optimization, simulation.
  • IntegrationAn accelerator alongside conventional servers.

  • PathChip prototype, then a compute module.
Complementary

Key generation modules

The first stage of our chip turns vacuum fluctuations into a million unique fingerprints per second. Each fingerprint is 1,800 bits, cannot be cloned, and feeds a key generator in real time.

Keys are never stored and never sent. Each frame of data gets its own one-time key, generated on the spot: 10,000 to 100,000 keys per second.

About

A new physical basis for computation.

The next step in computing will come from changing how information is processed, not only from smaller components.

Switches: step by stepLight: all at once
How we work
  • Physics firstWe build on effects that are described and understood.
  • Clear about statusAmbition, plan and result are kept apart.
  • Step by stepEach stage is tested before the next begins.
  • Selective disclosurePrinciples are public. Detail is shared on enquiry.
Resonance
Resonance between two mirrorsStanding wave, simulated

Light that is in step with itself builds up instead of fading out. The same principle lets coupled elements settle into one shared state.

Questions
Is this quantum computing?

Quantum and phase computing in one. The quantum part is mass entanglement of light; the phase part filters, multiplies and computes. All at room temperature, no cryogenics.

How do you handle errors?

We filter them out before the computation instead of correcting them afterwards. The answer is the shared state of an enormous number of elements, not one fragile particle.

Is this optical networking?

No. Optical networks use light to move data between chips. Here the material itself computes.

Can I buy a product today?

Not yet. Both directions are in development.

Can I see technical details?
